How September Started...

The month started with the calm before the busy storm. Patrick and I explored the downtown scene, getting a taste of the rich culture Savannah has to offer. We grabbed some drinks and food at Savannah Coffee Roasters where I ordered a peach smoothie and Pat got a cookie. Both were yummy! We visited Savannah shops like The Paris Market (cutest place ever!) where you can scout out interesting home accents. The shop has hidden nooks where your eyes will always catch something new! We then visited used book stores and walked the squares, stopping in Orleans Square to enjoy the fountain. We finished our day going to Planted in Savannah- a new plant boutique for green thumb enthusiasts like ourselves!

From the Garden...

Something I tried this month was homemade Hibiscus, Chamomile, Garden Rose, and Raspberry tea! It was delicious! I just boiled the raw ingredients and ta-da!

The First Wedding of Many

For the month of September, I had tackled FIVE weddings! To start out the month of "I Do's", I attended and photographed Erinn and Colby's wedding at the Buie Barn in Brunswick, GA. This place is perfect for couples looking for that rustic, country feel! As a photographer, I must say I loved the opened space and twinkly lights that added dreamy bokeh to the background! For couples looking to book the Buie Barn, some of the spaces were DARK and covered in mirrors- a challenge for a photographer using bounce flash photography- so make sure your photographer is comfortable in dark lighting! Erinn and Colby's wedding was nothing short of a country fairytale! I wanted to embrace lots of rustic tones for this gallery!

Baby Mateo Takes to the Skies!

Before my other four weddings, I photographed this sweet boy's first cake smash and time spent with his family! We met at the dreamy Daffin Park in Savannah where I set up a whimsical teepee setup. This little boy comes from a family of pilots, so an adventure theme was fitting! Baby Mateo devoured his cake and was SO HAPPY! His mom and dad loved watching him have a great time!

The September Weddings Continue!

The next few days were so busy! Between traveling to Pennsylvania and having three photography events- I was tired but it was SO worth it! Shout out to my best friend Priscilla for accompanying me during these events! She really helped me out from steaming the dresses, to herding the crowds for photos, to even grabbing food and drinks for the bridal parties! It's the little things, thanks girl!

Bon Voyage!

Fall minis!

The next two weddings for the month both took place in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. To fill my time between flights and weddings, I decided to host a Fall Minis event where I photographed four families! I got back in touch with my "truck guy"- a local I met when I lived in PA. This 1930s coal truck has all the rustic vibes! I've used it for Christmas minis as well! This time, we brought out the pumpkins! I decided to go with some blush tones to compliment the oranges!

A Dress of My Own

While up in PA, I booked an appointment at David's Bridal with my own bridesmaids, future mother in law, mom, and sister. I said yes to the dress! The wedding planning continues..

Jenn & Ryan

I started my Poconos Wedding Photography Weekend with Jenn & Ryan! These two lovebirds got married at Famularo's Catering & Events in Mount Pocono.

Jenn & Ryan are two down-to-earth souls and I loved being there to photograph their day! Their ceremony was genuine and full of raw emotions as Jenn promised not only to love her husband but also his son as well! This couple had known each other for a VERY long time, and you could feel the love radiating from their families and guests. There wasn't a dry eye on site! (not even for me! Blended families always get me!) Famularo's was a great venue also! The food was delicious and the space was versatile! For this gallery I wanted to embrace the darker tones to compliment their colors- navy blue and burgundy!

Michelle & Cody

Michelle and Cody's wedding day started at a HUGE Airbnb not too far from Lake Wallenpaupack! The bridesmaids cheered and toasted to their bride and the men, on the floor below, played pool and watched games in the mancave. When it was almost time for the ceremony, everyone took off for Capri's Restaurant off Lake Wallenpaupack. The ceremony was beautiful and so full of light and love! Carrying on into the night- everyone enjoyed the dance floor and food! (It was delicious! highly recommend!) By the end of the night, I stole the couple away for a romantic walk next to the water's edge for some dreamy sunset photos!

A Woodland Boudoir

Before heading back to Savannah, my friend Sam and I had some fun in the woods photographing her dreamy and dark boudoir just in time for Halloween! I led Sam onto a trail with a beautiful view that isn't far from where I used to have an apartment. We had so much fun!

Landing into Savannah, Landing into Love with the Campaus

Shortly after Michelle & Cody's wedding, I flew back to Savannah to embark on my next wedding journey! My mid-week wedding was for Laurie and Bryan, a pair of skydivers in love! This took place in Bluffton, SC, at the Belfair Oaks private community. Laurie and Bryan decided to do a First Look before their ceremony and it was so neat to get a glimpse at the couple having an intimate moment before the busy night. After the first look, we headed to the ceremony site. The ceremony site was on a closed off road that was covered by a beautiful hallway of oaks. The site was decorated with hanging lanterns, linens, flowers, and intricate signs. Dreamy! After the couple said "I do!", we took off to the golf course's event center (more like a castle!) for an intimate reception with romantic candlelight and delicious food! Before toasting and eating, I got some beautiful shots of the couple on the course with the blue skies and marshlands behind them. We even took photos of them with their skydiving gear! We finished the night with a fun sparkler send-off! I had such a wonderful time taking photos of these two! Laurie and Bryan are two happy souls that found their best friend in one another. I can't really say they're down to earth though- they're always up in the skies! *knee slap

Brady & Abby, a Tale of Two Soldiers

The day after the Campau wedding, I headed to Vidalia, GA for Abby & Brady's day. Brady and Abby are active military members and received my military wedding photography discount! These two had their wedding celebration at the Rocky Creek Golf Course Lodge and OMG WHAT A HIDDEM GEM!

The halls to Rocky Creek are gorgeous- open, well lit with big windows and beautiful mahogany wood floors! On the water's edge outside, there is a BIG gazebo with decadent cherry and mahogany woods. This gazebo is perfect for weddings because of how big and spacious it is! Not to mention, the gazebo in the middle of the water was perfect for me to capture Abby and Brady next to the water at sunset!

I was so happy to be there for Abby and Brady's wedding celebration. It was such a beautiful day full of love!

Onto the Next Month...

September was full of love, laughter, traveling, and smiles! I am so grateful for the memories made! I'm looking forward to the joys of October too!

And so the adventure continues...
